MAGNET PROGRAM
" Mr. Watson, come here, I need you. "
With those immortal words, Alexander Graham ushered in a new era of communication. The goal at James S. Deady Communication Arts Magnet school is to prepare our students for a new era in communication by preparing them for a rich and varied form of communication in the 21st century.
At Deady, the communications revolution is being addressed everyday as students practice the art of digital photography and film making, create and produce video and audio programs such as the Morning Announcements and Public Service Announcements, develop scripts and news stories in the journalism class, explore websites and study scholastic pod casts such as iTunes University and develop their own news blog, incorporate digital photography and writing for the annual yearbook plus study the emerging world of animation.
